The Experience

Creative photography lets you see yourself as the main character, and I would love to help you tell that story.

Take some time to read through this page to learn more about my approach and process for each photoshoot. Getting your picture taken may be new to you, and I want you to understand my process and see if I am the right fit for you. Every photographer is different, and I know your relationship with each one can make or break your memories and experiences in the future.

I know many photographers out there can give you a great photograph. Still, I want you to have a wonderful & safe experience and pictures that bring back exciting memories.

  • I want to capture your most authentic self. There is one of you in this world, and you deserve to celebrate it! I invite you to be unapologetically you. Sometimes we want to wait until we have reached specific goals or until something important happens. And waiting for special moments in life is necessary... but remember that you get to celebrate yourself at any point in your life. I want you to know how powerful you are, and you owe it to yourself to show off your light. This is where your wildest dreams can come true, where you are the main character. I'm not looking for a specific mood, and I won't force it out of you. If you feel most empowered when you're being spooky or covered in fake blood, great! If being sexy is your thing, then let's make it so! If you instead want a more modest session - we'll create it! I am here on this journey with you.

  • Every project is unique because there are no two clients alike. I love getting to know my clients and catering this experience to you. Tell me your story: Where are you from? What do you love? What sets your heart on fire? My projects are very much a collaborative effort between the client and myself. If you need suggestions, that is fine. I can come up with a concept inspired by your interests! Because of the nature of creative work, I work best with clients who are open to sharing stories that tell me who they are. Suppose you need creative control of the project or aren't interested in conversing with me. In that case, someone other than me may be the right fit for you. This work sets my heart on fire. I need the freedom to express myself. Listen, I am already rooting for you. All you need to do is let me in your inner world.

  • Everyone should invest in a photography session at least once in their lives. Honestly? We should all get our picture taken at different stages of our lives. Creative photography sessions are unique because they are curated memories of yourself. Just like Mother Gaga said in her iconic masterpiece Marry The Night, "When I look back on my life, it's not that I don't want to see things exactly as they happened; it's just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way." You can choose how you want to remember this point in your life. I can give you that creative look you're looking for. I want you not to come to me because I am your budget photographer; I want you to choose to work with me because you see my vision and value my work. I dare you to dream big about how you want to remember your youth. I'll be here ready to make it happen.

  • My biggest inspiration for my work has always been old-school film, especially campy horror. I am also a 90's kid and grew up at the height of the supermodel era, consuming fashion magazines and brand campaigns that took you into another world. I want to cater my style to you first and always bring out a different side of myself, yet I will always look at our creative sessions through a cinematic lens. My aim with photography will always be to create a story and build a world you can get lost in. Because I work on each image individually, quality will always be more important than quantity. I love adding a touch of cinema and 90's fashion to every shot. Still, I am always open to challenging myself and working on projects that are different from my usual style as long as I believe in the vision. One of my biggest dreams is to do more brand and product photography, and I would love to create a different style for those.

  • Many of my clients already feel comfortable and confident in front of a camera, and many others don't. I know how vulnerable and intimidating it can be to get your picture taken by someone you don't know. I always have a trauma-informed lens in every step of our communication. What is your experience getting photographed? What do you feel when you're the center of attention? Are there aspects of your body or yourself that you don't feel too confident about? It's okay! We all have parts we only sometimes want to show. I am not here to push you past your boundaries. I want to establish trust between us, so I can highlight the parts of yourself that you want to highlight! I am not here to judge you or decide how you show yourself. If you want to push past your boundaries, that's great! And if you don't, that's wonderful too! I am here to listen, validate your experience, and support you every step of the way!

  • I grew up watching MTV, listening to Britney Spears, and consuming media that inspired me to do what I do now. But I never saw myself reflected on the screens. I never saw brown skin, fat bodies, trans & gender non-conforming people. Or even healthy queer relationships in roles that deserve to be celebrated. I believed my existence was out of the norm. I am grateful for all the BIPOC artists who write new stories in this new media era, and I am one of those creators. This is a safe space for you. You are welcomed and accepted. Whether you are part of the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ community, disabled community, the immigrant community, and many other intersectional spaces, I urge you to reach out and connect with me!
